Life in Logan

It seems like im always playing catch up with my Blog!

These last few weeks in Logan have been great! School is going great, my friends and roommates are fantastic, and im just loving life.

Chrissy came running into my room last Sunday and asked me to take her to the hospital. That about gives you a heart attack!! She was babysitting a few days before and fell down the stairs and hit her head. She thought she had a concussion and was worried so we ran to the hospital. Mean while Kenzi was sitting on the couch talking to her dad on the phone wearing her footie PJs and her banana costume for Halloween. She hangs up the phone, rips off the banana costume and runs out of the door with us.

Ya she's a babe i know, shes my best friend!!

It has also gone from nice weather, to fall so it's a little chilly in the morning, to poring rain, to snow all in a week span! Logan weather is as crazy as Burley's!

I was clearly pumped to get to wear my rain jacket and use my umbrella. I LOVE the rain.

Kenzi and i try to go to as many ward functions as possible and so we went to FHE last week even though we really didn't want to be carving pumpkins. We did anyways and we actually won. Prizes were awarded to the best pumpkin and we were the lucky winners!!

I mean what girl wouldn't want a sweet mustache as a prize! We were entertained for hours!! :]

I also got to vote for the first time ever! I had no clue what to do, it wanted me to print and push all these weird buttons so i was a little stressed out, but i made it through and Voted! Yippee!

Friday night was a Basketball preseason game! I went with some pretty cute girls, my bestest friend Kim and Chrissy and Tarah, and we had fun. Aggie's ended up winning big time but it never gets old to do the Scotsman cheer!

Chrissy convinced me to go with her to dinner after the game. We went to Wingers and as we were waiting we were real hungry so we started talking about all the food we were going to order and the desert we were going to get after. Half way through our meal, i was stuffed. No way was i making it through dessert. Our waitress comes out, we thought to give us our checks, but instead to tell us a table offered to buy us dessert and if we would like it now or to go! Ya we were real shocked. That has never ever happened to me before! Another waitress came out with our dessert to go and told us at the table close to us were some of her guy friends. They bought our pie and left their numbers. She told us were were adorable and we should really give them a call. I don't think i have ever booked it out of a restaurant that fast before. We took our free pie and some guys numbers and left. I creeped them on Facebook that night and found that they sat in front of us at a football game one night so we kinda knew them. Lets just say neither Chrissy or I will be giving them a call anytime soon. They were very nice guys, but i definitely am not the kind to call a guy first.

Like my recent purchase. I was so pumped to find footie PJs at walmat that i just couldn't pass them up! I know i am a real looker in them but who cares, they are super cozy and thats all that matters to me!

Logan is beautiful in the fall. I love the bright colors, the brisk air, everything about the fall amazes me. It's my very favorite season and i am one lucky girl to be in beautiful Logan Utah to experience one of the best falls ever. Im one happy lucky girl! :]

A Pretty Epic Weekend Back Home

Oh how i love being home. I have always been such a home body, so any chance i get to be home, i take! For fall break my Thursday class go canceled so i was lucky to get both Thursday and Friday off. I pack up and headed on home on Wednesday night. I didn't do a whole lot but hang out with the fam and work at good ole A.M.I. How thankful i am for that wonderful job. I am able to be home with my family, but working and making money on my breaks so i can enjoy college life! I am one lucky girl.

Friday night i went on a super fun date. Dallin (Brin's brother) and I and then Brin and Chad went on a double date. First Dallin picked me up and we headed to Oakley to watch the big football game against Declo. After Oakley got their butts whooped, we headed home to let the competition begin. We were carving pumpkins and i soon found out pumpkin carving can be more creative then a couple eyes and a creepy mouth. I think it took us longer to decide what design to do then it did to actually carve my pumpkin. (especially since Brin says i chose a toddler design but at least i tried right?) Dallin and i chose Batman and Brin and Chad did Princess Peach and Mario. I still think team Batman was the winners, but we all had fun.

Me and my "toddler pumpkin" according to brin.

Thanks for the great date Dallin.

I miss her more then she will ever know. She was the best roommate and friend a girl could ask for!

So i definitely hated the guts! Sure glad i changed what i wanted to be when i grow up! I couldn't have handled any doctor or nursing profession of any kind!!

We weren't really sure what to do with our pumpkins when we were finished with them. I just cleared my background check so i wasn't really sure i wanted to do anything naughty to ruin my perfect record! We ended up taking them to the Declo sign so everyone driving by can see! :]

Such a great night!

I spent my entire Saturday at my Grandma Chicks house working on her garage. We tried to prep and paint the floor but it seemed like everything that could go wrong did. We ended up calling it quits but we will be back to finish some day soon!! After i got showered and cleaned up i hurried to meet the girls in Albion to go to the dreaded Haunted Mansions. I HATE scary things so this stuff isn't really my cup of tea. Mostly i go to be with my friends and have a little fun. I was scared before we even got our tickets. Some creepy man walked by and i let out a scream no girl should ever let out of their mouths! I sounded manly but i was terrified so give me a break ok. Brin about peed her pants. We got chased one to many times by freaks with chain saws. Brin and I had a dance party in the strobe lights. All together it was a great time with the best of friends a girl could ask for. Bet ya anything we will all be back next year for some more exciting adventures at Albion Haunted Mansions. They never disappoint.

I must be a horrible picture taker because i look awful in most of these pictures!

Since we had no boys to keep us safe, Syd and I assumed the boys role! Oh well we had fun!! :]

Thank heavens Halloween is almost over with for another year. This girl isn't too found of that dang holiday and is sure glad to see it go. Let the Christmas festivities begin!!

Truly Blessed

I have some pretty amazing people in my life who are such great examples to me. I have no clue where i would be right now without them.

This kid is one of my bestest friends. I tell him just about everything and miss him tons. Before i left last time he made me take this hideous picture but i sure do love him.

I am so lucky to have such amazing roommates. kenzi is missing in this picture but they are wonderful! They are such examples to me, pushing me to be better each day. We have so much fun and it is so nice to have wonderful friends to live with! Love them so so much!

Mom came to visit a couple weeks ago and it was so good to spend time with her shopping and then eating at our favorite plave Cafe Rio! I miss her like crazy when i am away from her but i txt her every day and we talk mostly every day. I am so thankful for the wonderful relationship i have with her and for the example she is to me.

Ky is such a cute girl! I love her tons and it has been so fun lately helping her paint and decorate her house. I mostly just love helping her shop except now i feel like its my turn to get married so i can have a cute house like she does!

Kenz and i have no pictures together, don't worry we will change that! This one is a snap chat we sent to Brin to tell her how much we missed her! This girl is such an amazing example to me. Saturday she woke up early with me so we could go to the temple. She is always helping me to be better and i love her so much. I am totally comfortable around her and we have the best of time laughing and just talking about everything!

We went to a fireside last night together which was so good! Elder Schweitser (that is totally not spelled right!) spoke on self discipline. I felt like he was speaking directly to me and that i needed to shape up my act. i decided i was going to try to be self diciplined enough to exercise every day and try eating a little healthier. We will see how that works out! Day one was a success but 6:00 is super early so we will see if i can keep it up!

I am surrounded by truly amazing people that help me so much each day! I am one lucky girl! :]

It definitely wasn't a coincidence

I don't believe in chance. Everything happens for a reason. A year ago in August, a shy darling freshman girl didn't just happen to randomly sit by me. It was definitely divinely inspired for me to meet my best friend in a math class filled with 25 other girls going to Utah State all in the same boat.

Kim and i connected from day one. Ya it might have been an awkward slow moving relationship, but from day one i was comfortable with her and i really liked her. Kim was so sweet. We started just with small talk, asking each other about our days, family, roommates. Just the little things to get to know one another. Soon enough it turned into ranting about our problems and venting to one another. We realized we about had every single class together and so we sat by each other in all of those classes too. We then went on to sign up for every single class together the next semester since we were going into the exact same thing. Like i said, it didn't happen by chance. We slowly became the best of friends, completely comfortable. I missed her like crazy over the summer not being able to see her every day.

This year we vowed to hang out outside of school since it never happened last year. We now spend about 5 or 6 days a week together hanging out at night. Yep shes the best friend a girl could ask for. She is beautiful, so selfless always thinking about others, so smart, and she makes me a better person every day. I sure love that girl tons. What would i do without her?

Kim and i have had a pretty great couple of weeks. Full of adventure and spontaneity. One night we were working on homework and Kim randomly wanted to go to Old Main hill because some people in her ward were having a chocolate slip and slide. I wasn't 100% thrilled about this plan but it was so much fun. It was freezing and we were disgusting but it was so worth it. I even ended up ramming into Kims behind on my way down and doing some weird flip over the top of her. We both were laughing so hard that we legimitatly peed our pants! Thank heavens it was dark and we were covered from head to toe in chocolate, water, and soap so no one could tell!

After we showered off Kim and i headed to Preston, Idaho so i could buy my first ever lottery ticket and cross that off of my bucket list! We weren't winners but it was a well worth it trip!

Kim invited me to go home with me over conference weekend! I fell in love with her family and didn't want to leave. We were in the car for 5 1/2 hours on the way to Pleasant Grove Utah since the BYU vs. USU game was happening that night so traffic was insane! We got to go to the game and had a blast! To bad USU lost 3 to 6 but im still an Aggie!!

Her little sister is adorable, she kinda made me miss my little sister horribly bad! It was so fun to spend time with her!

Kim introduced me to Kneaders where i fell in love. They have the best french toast i have EVER had. We went on a walk and mostly just hung out and saw the sights. Sunday we watched conference and then went on a drive to visit her grandparents. The canyon drive was beautiful and her family was all so cute and welcoming i felt right at home! It definitely was a great trip!

Our class on Monday morning had been canceled so we decided to just sleep in Monday morning and be back for our 1:00 class. That night we started to fill a little guilty since we did have institute at 10:30 (or so we thought) in the morning and so we decided that we probably should try and make it back for institute. Everyone was going to be talking about conference and we wanted to hear what our teacher had to say about the mission age change, girls at 19 and boys at 18. We packed up a little and set our alarms for 6:00 so we could be back in time. Well like normal college students, we slept through our alarms and i finally woke up when my dad called me that morning for family sripture study which i get to be a part of via phone call. At 7:15 when we were finished i work Kim up and we rushed to get ready and out the door by 7:45. We made it, maybe not looking so great, but oh well. When we got to Logan we hurried grabbed our scriptures and walked up the hill to class. Walking into our normal institute class Kim turns to me and says, "Does there seem to be lots of new people in class today?" Looking around i didn't notice anyone and i began to panic. I looked at the clock and realized that instead of class starting at 10:30 it ended at 10:30!! We had gotten to class an hour late. We were laughing so hard we had to run out of class, so embarrassed that we had totally forgotten what time our class was! We are such dorks but i sure do love her!!

I have a bucket list that i have been trying to cross as many things as possible off as i can. One of the things on my list it to go to a concert. I have been to little ones at the Cassia County Fair but i wanted to experience something bigger! For my birthday i got tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert and was so excited! I invited Kim to go with me and we had a blast!! West Valley where the Maverik Center was, was a little bit skechy! We left super early so we could shop before, but the mall didn't have too many great stores and we were a little bit scared. Some car got mad at me that i was driving the wrong way and all Kim could do was laugh. I thought they were going to shoot us. I needed to turn around and go go back the other way so i turned down a street which was actually a really busy highway! I was freaking out but we got off somehow and made it to where we needed to safely. Kim made me try Zupas since i had never eaten their before and boy was it delicious. Their sandwitches and salads were to die for! The concert was fantastic! I loved it and didn't want it to end! My voice was gone after from singing so much but i didn't care! It was worth it. I got to see Bethanie, Adams sister, after since she was so close and that was super fun to see her. I miss her like crazy! We got back super late but it was a great night.

I got to see this cute girl at the concert! Love Bost so much and am so glad we are cousins so we are together forever! :] she is going to make the best missionary next summer, so proud of her!!

We were clearly pumped to be there!

Our cute new Carrie Underwood TShirts!

Hunter Hayes opened for Carrie Underwood and i absolutly love him! Hes a cutie!!

I pretty much love this girl more than anything! I am so thankful she chose to sit down next to me in math last fall. What would i do without her!?
