Not my kinda thing...

All week Brin and i had been dead set on not going to the Howl. Becca and Ky weren't planning on going either so why would we go! Well Friday night we get home and are getting ready for our first Utah State Basketball Game ever!!!

For the record Basketball games are SWEET and the crowd is ruthless it was soooo much fun!! But anyways back to my story...

So were getting ready and Ky and Becca get home and tell us that they have decided to go and that we are going as well. Not going to lie i was a little excited because i did want to go to see what all the talk about the Howl was all about!! Saturday morning bright and early (ha not) Brin and i wake up and head to Walmart to find a costume. Were kinda cheep skates but we did want to look good so we decided on making our costumes. We found some sweet cheetah and zebra material and we were sold. We were going to be Bam Bam and Pebbles off of the Flintstones and WE were going to make them!!! I sure wish someone would have taken a picture of Brin and i sewing! First i had to stand in front of the mirror and model our costume so Brin could sew it down the side right. Then both of us are sprawled out on the floor sewing our fringe on the bottom. Im betting it took us a good three hours to make our costumes but man were they worth it. They were cute and plus i can now tell people that yes i can cook and sew!!!

All in all it was a fun night... I got to wear a cute costume, I got to see some crazy people dressed up in some pretty crazy things, and I got to spend time with my roommates!! I just think next year we might try something a little different for Halloween!!



Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

Well here at college i get a little sleep deprived so once 10:30 hits i get weird. Last Monday i think all of us ended up being a bit weird because what started as watching a few you tube videos ended up as this...

We even ended up at Walmart taking a few pictures there as well as we bought car paint and diapers that we put all over Sara's car. What a night... I sure love my roommates!!!

Birthday Girl!!

It's so weird how i got so lucky to have amazing roommates that we all get along so well and do so much together. I didn't think it would be like this but i am soooo glad it is i love my roommates more than anything and am so grateful that they put up with me all the time!

Last week Ky had the big 19th Birthday. Josh came down and all of us went to dinner to celebrate. I don't know why Ky picked Texas Roadhouse because she hates meat but we started off the night with a few cute pictures!!

Later that night Josh, Becca, Brin and I ran to Walmart to get the Birthday girl a little surprise!! We ended up with a fish named Demetrius and some other goodies!! Hope Ky had a great day because we sure love you Kyler!!! :)

Can you guess what i had for dinner!?

If Brin can call herself Pablo Picaso, then you had better start calling me Martha Stewart!!! Monday night i decided that i wanted to cook some dinner for our apartment. I got my mom's recipe for chicken and rice caserole. I got it all put together and in the oven ready to go. One hour and fifteen minutes later, out came an amazing looking caserole, it even smelled good too. Brin and Ky were super good sports about it and even tried it with me!! You wanna know what ha it even tasted good too! Mom you should be so proud!

Well after eating an amazing home cooked meal, Brin and i headed over to FHE where we were going to the canyon to roast some marshmellows. I could smell dinner on my sweatshirt and laughed and told Brin how i still smelled like the dinner i just cooked. Before i knew it a kid in our FHE family says let me guess what you had for dinner and he leans over and grabs the front of my shirt like he was going to beat me up. Instead of beating me up he starts SMELLING me! Ya thats right i got smelled at FHE!! I had no idea what to do i just stood there shocked for a few minutes not knowing what to do before i could come to it to shove him off of me! I was soooo embarrassed!! Everyone just looked at us like what the heck! Ha its super funny now but at the moment i could have killed him!! What an experience ha!!

what a weekend!!

So Brin and i are headed home. Fall break, ready for a long weekend away from school, time to relax and see our family. Brin had trusty ole Judy (her GPS) that normally takes us home. Well we didn't turn on Judy this time and thats were all the problems started!!! First we take a wrong exit, end up at Fort Hall, and then our exit never came. I have no idea how we made it home but we did. Thank Heavens!!

That was only one of the exciting things that happened. My mom and i went to see footloose and i was in love! Its super cute and im a little in love with the main guy too. On Saturday my dad and brothers and i went clay pigeon shooting!!! I got to shoot a gun and i even finally ended up hitting one!!! Little Ridge even came with us and shot  big gun and he even hit one!!

My dad got ahold of some people from his mission and i got to talk to some of them too. One family, the Valencia's, were very nice and my dad has stayed in contact throughout the years. We call them Grandma and Grandpa Valencia and Uncle Crazy and Uncle Lazy! I got to talk to Grandma Valencia. She cried and said "oh my American granddaughter no speak no Spanish and her Mexican grandma no speak no English but i love her oh i just love her!" It was a very neat experience for me and i am so thankful for the power of missionaries and their ability to touch people and change peoples lives.

Then Saturday night the real fun began!!! Brin and i are not so much a fan of scary things but we decided to be brave and to attempt the Albion College Haunted Houses. We made it through the first one ok but when we got to the second we ran into a little trouble. I was bear hugging Brin through the whole thing so i could burry my face in her jacket is something jumped out to get me. There was this one part where you had to duck down and go through a tunnel and i had let go of Brin as we tried to get in but i got scared and grabbed out to hold onto her again. Because she was ducking and because i was holding onto her all night her sweatshirt had ridden up and so did her tank top. I went to grab on around her stomach but something happened and next thing i knew my hands were down her pants!!! What the ha!! Poop Brin ha but good thing she puts up with me and my crazyness!!

I love college so much and am enjoying all the experiences i am having but it is nice every once in a while to go home and spend some time with the fam!! Look i even get to spend time with these two crazies!!

I LOVE LIFE!!!!

Basically coming to Logan to school was the best decision i have ever made. Brin is my very best friend. We do everything together and are inseparable. I can tell her everything and am myself around her. (Sometimes that is a bad thing since we get a little crazy but i know she will never judge me :) ha) But i know i couldn't have handled the college life without her. Thank you Brin I just Love you!!!

Epic Fail...

So Brin and i were planning on running a mustache run this morning but for the rocord 7:30 is kinda early for poor Melanie to hear her alarm and Brin's is broken so it didn't happen. Sad day :( We had even been hunting for mustaches all week and finally found the perfect ones last night at Walmart. Well we didn't get to run in our mustaches but we sure did model them.
